Dragons in Service

New K-8 Quarterly Themed Service Initiative
Once a quarter the RP community will focus on a service related outreach theme.

Purpose: Provide quarterly focused themed service opportunities to all RP K-8 families. Provide "Teachable Moments" throughout the quarter at school in both PYP and MYP among the students and families based on the theme to bring service projects/awareness full circle and have a meaningful outcome. Assist in the movement of integrating service into Roland Park students and families’ everyday lives.

Dragons in Service Volunteer Opportunity:
Please consider joining your fellow Dragon volunteers at the Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent to help local families in need.  There are two separate sessions for our school this year, as this has been a popular volunteer opportunity for families in the past.  To expedite the check in process at the tent, please print and fill out the WAIVERS in advance.  Closed toed shoes are required and wear a Roland Park shirt!
If you would like to bring gift or food donations, you may bring them to the tent at your scheduled shift, or any time before then to: 2609 N. Rome Ave 33607
Two weeks before the shift dates, any unused spots will be released to the general public.  So, sign up (through think provided below) as soon as you can to reserve these shifts for our RP families.  Each family member needs to register.
The two session dates and times are:
Monday, December 23 11-1:45
Tuesday, December 24 8:45-11:30
This volunteer opportunity is for families with children 8 years and older.  We will participate in a spring clean up later in the school year where younger children can attend.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you!
